April 19th ~
It's been a long week ! We are working hard to bring you
the final results from last Sunday's race, but please be patient with
us. Fortunately we had a number of checks in place, and this is
helping to sort out the problems caused when our ultra-long funnel
filled up. Provisional times have now been added to race positions 820
to 1219 - that's all with time of 58.23 and over. We now have 1 to 500
and 820 to the end sorted, and are continuing to work on the vital
middle section - hopefully these will be available here by the
weekend. For the latest updated provisional results,

the 2007 Regency 10km have now been sorted into their recorded
finishing positions. This can be viewed (we have also left in place

are assumed not to have turned up).

April 15th ~ We have to offer our sincere apologies for
problems at the finish line which no doubt spoiled today's race for
some athletes who finished in the middle of the field. The finish
funnel was extremely long, but exceptionally hot conditions did slow
down the process of recording everybody through the funnel.
Understandably most of you didn't feel like jogging 200 metres through
the funnel AFTER the finish, and the inevitable results was a log-jam
on the finish line. We do have back-ups in place which should sort the
results out in time, but we appreciate the absolute need for athletes
who have slogged their way around 10kms in the heat to be able to
cross that finish line. We will ensure that a multi-funnel system or
chip timing in 2008 will mean that it will not happen again. Once
again, our sincere apologies to anybody involved, and we hope that
your annoyance will be tempered somewhat by the experience of running
on such a nice course in gorgeous conditions. |
|
April 15th ~ A glorious morning greeted the 1500 athletes at
Leamington this morning at 9.00 o'clock as the third Regency 10km
sponsored by WRIGHT HASSALL got underway. Over 170 volunteers were on
hand to put the race on, and on the runners' behalf we do thank all of
these for their efforts. |
|
PLEASE, EVERYBODY, HAVE A GREAT RUN TOMORROW |
