April 23rd ~
With great apologies for the delay due to a couple of computer
problems, we have now posted out the full results booklet to those few
who ordered one on the day. You should receive this tomorrow. |

March 31st ~
We have been working on the Fun Run results this morning and have now
decided to publish what we have managed to produce. Unfortunately
there was a hiccup at around 29 minutes 25 seconds when a group of
around 7 or 8 all finished together just before the main race winner
was sighted. Sadly numbers were not recorded for all of these, nor
were they captured by our checkers due to a mixture of numbers being
hidden on discarded coats etc. If it is YOU that is missing, or if you
know who it was that finished with Joe and Natasha Blaire please
contact us on

March 31st ~
A few adjustments have been made to the SCENIC SIX results : if your
name was spelt incorrectly it should now be correct. Everyone from
position 82 downwards has moved up one position. |

March 30th ~ Congratulations to 17-year old EMILY MERRICK
of Hereford AC who took the Ladies race for the first time in an
excellent 41.58 - 2 minutes 43 seconds ahead of Linda Howell in
second. Alison Bagnall was third. |

March 30th ~ Congratulations to TOM KENDERDINE, who won the
Scenic Six for the third year in a row, and fourth year in total, with
a time of 36.15 - 106 seconds ahead of Robin Coll in second. Simon
Hall was third. |

March 30th ~ A record busting year saw Scenic Six entries total
344 after 141 turned up and entered on the day. On behalf of St
Richards Hospice, a huge thank you to all of you for your support.
A further 86 took part in the fun run/walk giving the event a total of
430 entries. |

After the heavy showers, persistent rain and gale force winds of
yesterday, Peopleton was blessed with blue skies, fluffy white clouds
and sunshine for the seventh Scenic Six and fun run. |

DON'T FORGET THAT THE
CLOCKS GO FORWARD BY ONE HOUR AT 1.00 AM TOMORROW (Sunday) RACE DAY.
DO NOT FORGET TO CHANGE YOUR CLOCKS/WATCHES/ALARMS BEFORE YOU GO TO
BED. Race start is at 11.00 on the dot - no excuses along the lines of
"I forgot to change the clocks" will be accepted |

March 29th ~ We have been advised that despite showers yesterday
(Friday) the course is in near perfect condition for this year's race,
apart from a few wet patches. The forecast however is for more
showers, and a strengthening wind. Oh joy ! |

We have 12 entrants whose numbers are still with us awaiting
collection (entries arrived too late/no stamped addressed envelope
etc). If you have NOT received your number through the post AND you
are NOT on the following list, then either we never received your
entry, or it was lost in the post to you. Please check with us today :

March 28th ~ Postal entries finally closed today (yes, there were
two postal entries received today which have been posted back out to
you) with 203 pre-entered athletes in the six mile race. This is a
record advance entry - please turn out on Sunday and register on the
day (as early as possible please) so we can reach the magical 300
entries figure for the first time. |

March 27th ~
Today's entries have pushed the six mile race entries over the 200
mark for the first time ever in advance entries. |
|
March 13th ~ UK Athletics race permit is received - for those
amongst you who need to know, the permit number is 2334. |
|
March 6th ~ PLEASE ensure you put the correct postage on BOTH of
your envelopes ! An A4 sized envelope now requires a "large
letter" stamp. Letters stopped at Royal Mail for a surcharge will NOT
be collected, and your entry will not be processed. |
