2012 RACE

February 13 ~ Positions within your category, positions within your sex, team positions and prize winners have now been added to the results , which are now available as a final listing. CLICK HERE
February 13 ~ Congratulations to SHREWSBURY AC who are now confirmed as team prize winners at the 2012 Wyre Forest 8. Also to Worcester AC who took the ladies team prize.
February 13 ~ With apologies to Siouxie Davies of Wolves & Bilston AC who we had listed as a SM when in fact she is a SF ~ results have now been amended. Thanks for letting us know ~ any other anomolies, please e-mail and we will put them right.
February 12 ~ There is more 'meat to be put on the bone' of the results tomorrow, but for now (at 8.40pm I've really had enough!) the PROVISIONAL results are available for you - CLICK HERE
February 12 ~ A massive thank you to all those club members and "other halves" who were out in the cold and frozen Wyre Forest this morning to enable us to put on this event once again. Marshals, time & number recorders, drinks station, setting the course up at 7.45 am, driving around the frozen paths, handing out goody bags or drinks, copying entry forms etc etc. Whatever you were doing to help, your efforts were appreciated by the participants, and by your club.
February 12 ~ Congratulations to all 210 finishers in to-day's 16th Wyre Forest 8. Yes, conditions were difficult underfoot to say the least, and we took out the first mad dash downhill as we bowed to safety concerns, so the course was a little shorter than usual. However, MICHAEL WILESMITH of Guernsey island AAC powered to victory in the fastest time since Matthew Vaux-Harvey set the course record in 2004. Similarly, HAYlEY JENNINGS of Tipton Harriers took the ladies title in the fastest time since Lucy Aphramor's win in 2005.
February 11 ~ DON'T FORGET TO BRING ALONG SOME CHANGE FOR THE PAY AND DISPLAY CAR PARK AT THE WYRE FOREST VISITOR CENTRE.
February 11 ~ Race start tomorrow is at 11.00 am prompt at the top of the hill alongside the cafe. Race HQ is in the new Visitor Centre building, though please remember there are NO entries on the day, and therefore members of Amazing Feet RC are more likely to be out in the forest setting up the course, finish area etc than sitting in the warm behind a desk !
February 11 ~ With entries now closed, SHROPSHIRE SHUFFLERS are now confirmed as our largest club entry (their name is on the silver salver anyway) with 22 entries, followed for the second year running by Newport & District RC on 14, B.R.A.T on 13 and Worcester AC. No other clubs managed to hit double figures.
February 11 ~ 24 hours to go (to the nearest 5 minutes as I write this) and the sun is blazing down !  Well, not exactly blazing down, but at least we have sunshine and no further snow. Forecast from now is for a sunny afternoon with increasing cloud, but temperatures struggling to rise above freezing once again. For Sunday the BBC weather forecast promises largely dry with bright or sunny intervals and feeling milder - 5 degrees forecast for 12 noon !
February 10 ~ We are delighted that one of Amazing Feet's longest serving members ANDY NORRIS will be performing his annual "Official LAST MAN" duties again this year. So, if you are not the fastest, indeed if you are the slowest, you will have Andy's company for the hour and three quarters you are out there.

February 10 ~ There was a light dusting of snow in the Wyre Forest area overnight, but most of this has already gone, or is expected to go within the next 24 hours. Saturday is now forecast to be bright and sunny, though with temperatures not more than a degree or two above freezing. Sunday likely to be cloudier with showers, but a little milder. NO ORE SNOW is being forecast for the area.

February 10 ~ Three more entries in to-day's post, including the 2008 and 2009 F50 Champion KIM BRAZNELL of Mercia Fell Runners. Kim will be wearing number 253 in Sunday's race.

February 9 ~ Further pain for the delivery workers, as two very large boxes of trophies and medals arrive for Sunday's race. Don't forget to check out the prize listing for the Wyre Forest 8, as we offer the largest prize listing of any local club events - down to 10th place and 10th lady, as well as every single 5-year age category, regardless of entry numbers.

February 9 ~ IF ANYBODY HAS TAKEN SOMEBODY ELSE'S NUMBER FOR SUNDAY'S RACE, OR IF ANYONE HAS PASSED THEIR NUMBER ON TO ANOTHER ATHLETE, WILL YOU PLEASE E-MAIL US AT richardabaker@btinternet.com WITH DETAILS OF THE CHANGE (name of runner, age, club) BEFORE SATURDAY.  ANYONE FOUND RUNNING WITH SOMEONE ELSE'S NUMBER WILL BE DISQUALIFIED AND WILL NOT APPEAR IN THE RESULTS LISTINGS.
February 9 ~ Our 2005 Wyre Forest 8 Champion SIMON LINK has entered the 2012 race to-day. Simon was also M40 Champion in both 2004 and 2005, and M45 Champion in 2008.  Simon from Dudley & Stourbridge Harriers will be wearing number 20 in Sunday's race.
February 9 ~ the latest BBC weather forecast for the race location is as follows : rain and sleet arriving from the north during the evening and turning to snow after dark giving a covering of 5-10cms by dawn. Friday will be very cold (max 1 degree) with snow petering out and becoming brighter during the afternoon. Saturday cold (3 degrees) and cloudy with further rain and sleet possible on Sunday. However temperatures are due to rise on Sunday to 6 degrees, hopefully melting any snow that is still left. This will be updated between now and the race and any important information (such as an unexpected cancellation) will be posted here and on our homepage as early as possible.
February 9 ~ Another bumper postbag today as postal entries close for the 2012 Wyre Forest 8.

At to-day's date with all entries processed, Worcester AC are third with 7 entries, B.R.A.T are currently second with 10 entries, but slightly in the lead is the only club who has ever won this award to date - SHROPSHIRE SHUFFLERS. 2011 RACE

February 17 ~ Thank you to all those people who took part in the 15th Runaround Wyre Forest 8 last Sunday, and went to the trouble to contact us to pass on their comments.  Without identification, here is a selection of what you thought :
Thanks for today - the run was great as usual.  Marshals were all so supportive and encouraging.  Thanks to everyone concerned.
Just a note of thanks to the race organisers, marshals and helpers at Amazing Feet for a great race today. As always the course was well marked and clearly marshalled (by cheerful marshals) and very challenging. Only sorry that there were only 2 of us from B&R. Don't know how to make more of them race, need to put a rocket up them. Also congratulations to Amazing Feet from all at B&R on winning promotion as champions in the Birmingham League. Look forward to seeing all those Amazing Feet vests at our XC fixtures next season.
Mind you, what an excellent race once again, well done to you, and all involved. Faultless, and a great atmosphere!!  Thanks so much for letting me enter late, my legs did suffer around 5mile mark, I just had to hold on. Rest day for me today!! Thank you for a very well organised event.  It was my first time doing the race and i will certainly do it again.......very hilly and muddy but fun!  I was surprised there were mile markers which I find very helpful in races. Thanks for a great race yesterday. Firstly I would like to thank you for another great race on Sunday.  My daughter and I have run it for years now and we thoroughly enjoy all the gloopy mud, rocks and roots.  The organisation is always first class and the encouragement from marshals and helpers en route is so appreciated as it seems to make the race just a little less arduous. It's always a relief to see the time-keepers, bag handlers and the drinks table at the end though and we would both like to thank all involved for their time and effort.  We always have a feeling of euphoria after what is a challenging race, simply by completing the course.
Thank you for your email - what a pleasant shock following such an enjoyable race. It is the 3rd year that I have run your race since taking up running relatively seriously and coming originally from Cleobury Mortimer, it is one which I thoroughly enjoy. In my short running career, nothing has yet to top the sight two years ago of a herd of deer running across the path in the Forest as we completed about half a mile of running.
February 17 ~ All those winners who were not at the Presentation to receive their trophies/vouchers/bottles have now been contacted and have either received their due prizes, or they are in the process of being posted out to them.
February 14 ~ Valentine's Day and I'm sitting here alone with my computer. Aw shucks !  Full team results are done, and well done to SHROPSHIRE SHUFFLERS who walked away with BOTH team prizes as well as the silver salver for the biggest club entry with 19. For the record, the Shufflers' men scored 117 to beat STOURBRIDGE RC with 141 and their own "B" team with 183, while their ladies defeated NEWPORT & DISTRICT RC 59 to 84, with their own "B" team again third on 163. Full team results are on the same spreadsheet as the individual results : CLICK HERE
February 13 ~ Full race results are now available : CLICK HERE
February 13 ~ The Race Committee would like to thank everyone who was involved in the success of to-day's race, especially all the club members and their families who turned out on a miserable Sunday morning to assist.
February 13 ~ Three new course records were set to-day at the 2011 Runaround Wyre Forest 8, with DAVE MANSBRIDGE of Telford AC beating the 8-year-old M45 record by one and a half minutes. SANDRA LANE from Worcester AC did even better, knocking 97 seconds off the 8-year-old F50 record, but pride of place went to unattached HILARY WILLIAMS who totally destroyed the eleven-year-old F65 record, by 24 minutes and 16 seconds !
February 13 ~ The 2011 Runaround Wyre Forest 8 Champion was TOM KENDERDINE of Halesowen A&CC, who completed the course in 47.09 to collect his second title having won the race in 2009. This was the fastest winning time since Matt Vaux-Harvey took the title in 2004. Four times former Champion DAVE MANSBRIDGE of Telford AC was second this year in 48.11, with DANIEL PEBODY of Cherwell Runners third in 48.18.  Our ladies Champion was JANET EDWARDS of Shropshire Shufflers who finished in 59.01, with ROS VINER (Unattached) second in 59.13 and EMMA GOULD of Serpentine Runners third in 59.22. Just 21 seconds separated the first three ladies, and 62 seconds between the first six.
February 13 ~ After a glorious Saturday, race day dawned with low cloud and sporadic rain, which became more persistent during the morning, but cleared away somewhat during the race, before coming down heavily afterwards. It wasn't nice, but could have been much worse.  220 athletes completed the 2011 Runaround Wyre Forest 8, including our official Last Man ANDY NORRIS from the host club. Well done to everybody who reached the finish line in one piece.
February 11 ~ If there is anything important that happens during the next 36 hours, we will update this page before Saturday evening. Otherwise, have a safe journey, and we'll see you on Sunday morning.  Don't forget, 11.00 start.
February11 ~ Just a final reminder that the free car parking is on the field at the Duke William pub as last year ~ please call in for a pint or even a meal after the event as a thank you to the new management for allowing us to use their land. Meals are served up to 5.00pm on Sunday.
February 11 ~ Sadly, the mild and sunny (yes, honestly) weather is forecast for Saturday, with rain moving in on Sunday morning. Fingers crossed that they are wrong again !
February 11 ~ The final figures in the race for the Highest Club entry prize : SHROPSHIRE SHUFFLERS 19, NEWPORT & DISTRICT RC 11, LUDLOW RUNNERS 5. Of the 239 entrants, 80 are ladies, with 159 men.
February 11 ~ Just a few more entries, plus some previously omitted stamped addressed envelopes in to-day's post, taking us up to 239 entries. We plan therefore to take entries on the day at £8 and £10.  Entries after number 260 will NOT receive a goody bag (medal, certificate, Mars bar) until the last finisher is home. If you want to guarantee a goody bag, please let us have your details by e-mail by 7.00pn tomorrow evening (Saturday 12th).
February 10 ~ Scroll down this page for important information on FREE Car Parking, and the availability of the Wyre Forest Visitor Centre cafe.
February 10 ~ With a couple of days left to prepare our results database, WE WOULD ASK ANY ATHLETE WHO HAS TAKEN OVER A NUMBER FROM A FRIEND OR COLLEAGUE WHO IS ILL OR INJURED, TO PLEASE LET US KNOW DETAILS OF THE CHANGE BEFORE 7.00pm ON SATURDAY 12th.  This is to avoid any problems with results and prize-giving, and also for Health & safety reasons in the event of an accident. RACE NUMBER, NAME OF NEW RUNNER, AGE, CATEGORY & CLUB PLEASE to the usual e-mail address.
February 10 ~ At the closing date, we can confirm that SHROPSHIRE SHUFFLERS will be awarded the silver salver for the largest club entry with 14 confirmed entries. NEWPORT & DISTRICT RC were closest to them on 10, with LUDLOW RUNNERS on 5.
February 10 ~ The closing date for postal entries is to-day, with a total of 229 athletes confirmed for the 2011 race. See the main club index page for an update on entries on the day, given that we are well short this year of our race limit.
February 9 ~ We are delighted that our four-times winner of the Wyre Forest 8 DAVE MANSBRIDGE of Telford AC has confirmed his intention to take part on Sunday. Winner in 2002/2006/2007/2008, Dave will be wearing race number 1 on Sunday.
February 8 ~ Sadly, our four times Ladies Champion LUCY APHRAMOR has had to decline our invitation to defend her 2009/2010 title due to a heavy cold that just won't go away. Both the men's and ladies titles will therefore change hands this year.
February 8 ~ With two days to go to the closing date, SHROPSHIRE SHUFFLERS look to have retained their title as the club with the highest number of entries. Now on 13, they lead NEWPORT & DISTRICT RC with 10, and LUDLOW RUNNERS on 5.
February 8 ~ A huge postbag to-day with 17 entries : keep them coming. CLOSING DATE IS THURSDAY FEBRUARY 10th !
February 8 ~ 33 bottles of bubbly purchased to-day for all our winners on Sunday. Please stick around for the Presentation, which will take place as soon as we have all the category winners in.
February 7 ~ PLEASE DON'T FORGET THAT WE HAVE NEGOTIATED FREE CAR PARKING SINCE SENDING OUT THE INFORMATION BOOKLETS. This will be as last year at the Duke William pub, opposite the entrance to the Visitor Centre car park. Please follow signs & marshals instructions on the day, and BE CAREFUL WHEN CROSSING THE BUSY MAIN ROAD.  If you prefer to park at the WFVC, it will cost you £3, Pay & Display car parking.
February 6 ~ WE ARE DELIGHTED TO NOW CONFIRM THAT THE WYRE FOREST VISITOR CENTRE CAFE WILL DEFINITELY BE OPEN ON SUNDAY 13th AS USUAL. The hatch will be open from 09.00, with the main building open from 10.00.  Bacon sarneys all round then !
February 6 ~ Runaround Wyre Forest 8 Co-Organiser CRAIG LEWIS has been around the 8 mile course and reports that the course is in excellent condition - currently quick with no problems.
February 4 ~ We have received an entry to-day from the man who finished as runner-up in 2006, 2008 and 2009. IAN MANSELL from Centurion RC will wear number 2 in the 2011 race.
February 3 ~ The trophies have arrived to-day.
February 1 ~ We are still not certain if the usual cafe arrangements will be in place at the Wyre Forest on race day. Seems the lease was up on January 31st, and at the time of our race committee meeting last night, nobody was sure exactly what is happening. Keep an eye on our website for the latest news once we have it.
January 31 ~ 250 medals arrived by courier this morning.
January 28 ~ We received a card from Royal Mail this morning advising that they have an A4 envelope for us that requires a payment of £1.51 (in other words somebody forgot to put on a stamp !). If this was YOU, you will need to re-send your entry, this time with a stamp on it, as we will not be collecting the original letter from RM.
January 27 ~ Just 3 more entries in to-day : please keep them coming in. Don't forget, there are no entries available on the day.
January 26 ~ Entries currently stand at 137.  SHROPSHIRE SHUFFLERS are currently the club with the largest entry at 12, closely followed by NEWPORT & DISTRICT RC on 10. In third place is WORCESTER AC with 4.
January 25 ~ We have now suspended the list of race entries, as all those received here have now been processed and returned in the post. All further entries will be turned round on the day they are received.
January 24 ~ The certificates have arrived and will be suitably inserted into your goody bags on race day.
January 20 ~ UK Athletics has accepted our Licence Application for the 2011 Runaround Wyre Forest 8 : Licence number is 2011-101599 for those who are interested in such things.

January 19 ~ IMPORTANT INFORMATION UPDATE : THE RACE COMMITTEE ARE PLEASED TO CONFIRM THAT FREE PARKING HAS BEEN ARRANGED AT THE DUKE WILLIAM PUB OPPOSITE THE WYRE FOREST ENTRANCE. This is the same place as we used for last year's race ~ please bear this in mind when reading your race instruction booklet as the car park will now be on the OPPOSITE side of the road to that printed. PLEASE FOLLOW THE SIGNS & MARSHALS INSTRUCTIONS ON THE DAY.  It would be nice if as many of you as possible stayed after the race to eat and/or drink at the Duke William as a part thank you for providing us with free parking once again.  You can of course use the Visitor Centre car park if you prefer abnd don't mind spending £3.

January 18 ~ The first set of race numbers and information packs have been posted out to-day. Others will follow over the next few days.
January 17 ~ SHROPSHIRE SHUFFLERS are back in the lead in the race for the largest club entry salver, having moved on to seven entries to-day. NEWPORT & DISTRICT RC currently have six entries.

January 11 ~ We expect to have the official entry soon from last year's Ladies Champion LUCY APHRAMOR. Lucy, from Kenilworth Runners, has already taken the ladies title a record FOUR times, including both 2009 and 2010. The hat-trick is on for 2011 !
January 11 ~ LISA MILLAR entered the 2011 race to-day, giving NEWPORT & DISTRICT RC their sixth entry ~ they are now the largest club entry, one ahead of SHROPSHIRE SHUFFLERS and two ahead of WORCESTER AC.
January 10 ~ Race numbers are received to-day. Hopefully we can complete the race information pack within the next couple of days and have everything ready to send out by the end of this week.
January 8 ~ Following to-day's post, NEWPORT & DISTRICT RC now have 5 members entered in the 2011 race, giving them a share of the current lead for the Largest Club Entry trophy with Shropshire Shufflers. Worcester AC have 4.
January 7 ~ Another of our former Ladies Champions has also entered to-day. 2006 winner JANE ROWLANDS of Ludlow Runners will be wearing race number 7 on the 13th February.
January 7 ~ Former Ladies Champion SUSAN HOWARTH, now representing Mercia Fell Runners, has entered the 2011 Wyre Forest 8, and will wear number 6 in this year's race. Susan won this event in 2000, 2001 and 2007.
January 7 ~ Another dozen entries in today's post, including on from our third Wyre Forest 8 ever-present. Unattached GARY MASON has entered for the 15th time in 15 years, and will wear number 5 on race day.
January 6 ~ Just a plea from the Race Director after just three days of receiving large postbags : Please ensure you SIGN YOUR CHEQUE : Please ensure you include a STAMPED ADDRESSED ENVELOPE (Large rated stamp for A4 size envelopes) : and PLEASE DON'T staple your cheque to your entry form. There is no need to do this, and it really is a pain to try and separate the two without tearing them.  Thanks.
January 6 ~ Early days yet, but in the race for the Presentation Salver that is awarded annually to the club with the largest race entry, SHROPSHIRE SHUFFLERS have 5, followed closely by WORCESTER AC with 4.

January 3, 2011 ~ Race numbers have been ordered to-day and we hope to receive them by the middle of next week. Once they have been received and information packs have been copied, we will return them to all entries received at that time. From then on, entries will be processed on the day they arrive and returned in that evening's post where possible.
December 30 ~ As many of you will have read, we have THREE athletes who have run every single Runaround Wyre Forest 8 since we started - that's 14 times if you are counting. Entries were received to-day from two of them : MARTIN & SUSAN OTTEY from Shropshire Shufflers who will be wearing numbers 3 and 4 in the race.
December 27 ~ The first entry forms are distributed at the Wheaton Aston 10km and will be seen at many future Midlands races throughout January and the first week of February.
December 21 ~ The first entry is received for the 2011 Runaround Wyre Forest 8. Race regular LESLEY PYMM of Bournville Harriers is first off the mark.
December 16 ~ With the bridge now repaired we have decided to return to the ORIGINAL 8 mile course for the 2011 race. This means that you will not have to run quite as far as in the last three years, but of course the mud and the hills will remain.
December 16 ~ Hopefully my new PC is now up and running, and we are pleased to announce full details of the 2011 fifteenth Runaround Wyre Forest 8. Entry forms can be downloaded from the Runaround Wyre Forest 8 page, or from the Homepage.
October ~ The race committee have decided that the 2011 Runaround 8 will bear no increase in entry fees : held yet again at £8 and £6 for club runners !

2010 RACE

Feb 10 ~ Poor Postman Pat !  Another sixteen entries received to-day and as promised, all have been processed and your race numbers are back in the post tonight. But that really is all now - any more entries arriving at Race HQ from now on will be returned to you without a number : so please, save your time and money, AND ENTER EARLIER IN 2011 !
Feb 9 ~ Another bumper postbag to-day means that we have now reached our race limit for 2010. PLEASE NOTE THEREFORE THAT ENTRIES HAVE NOW CLOSED ! Any entries already in the post and received on Wednesday 10th WILL be processed, but that's it folks ~ get your entries in earlier in 2011.
Feb 8 ~ If you have a place booked in the 2010 Runaround Wyre Forest 8, but cannot now run and have given/sold your number to somebody else, WILL YOU PLEASE ADVISE US IN ADVANCE OF THE CHANGE !  We need the NAME, SEX, AGE and CLUB at an absolute minimum, as well as the number involved and original recipient. Failure to let us know WILL mess up the results, may cause category & team trophies to be awarded to the wrong people and could be potentially dangerous on health & safety grounds. CHANGES SHOULD BE NOTIFIED BY THIS THURSDAY (11th) AT THE LATEST. After this date, no changes can be made and no correspondence will be read.
Feb 8 ~ Sorry for the delay with updating, but I have been away for the weekend (champagne hotel breaks and beer festivals !). Entries received to-day takes us up to 347 which is three short of our race limit. However, the Runaround Wyre Forest 8 always has a large number of no-shows on the day, so we will continue to accept entries until WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 10th AT THE LATEST. After that, I'm afraid the race entry will be closed ~ please don't phone me to see if there are places, just get your entry form into the post NOW
Feb 4 ~ Doh ! So who was the idiot who ordered certificates for the race showing the date as 22.02.2010 ?  Yes, that would be our Race Director, claiming old age as the reason behind his error. Don't worry though, new versions have now been ordered with the correct date on, so do please all turn up on the 21st.
Feb 4 ~ Our youngest entrant is 16 year old ALEX PATTERSON and yes, there are prizes for the winning junior man & lady. Our oldest entrant is once again RON SMITH of Worcester AC who will be a sprightly 77 on race day.  Our oldest lady entrant is the famous KATHY LING of Wrekin Road Runners, and no, we're not going to tell you how old she is, because we are all gentlemen at Amazing Feet RC.
Feb 4 ~ We currently have 98 female entrants, and 215 male. SHROPSHIRE SHUFFLERS remain the biggest club entry with 22, followed by MALVERN JOGGERS with 11. Others are as reported below on Feb 3.
Feb 4 ~ We are delighted to confirm that four times winner of the race and holder of the new course record DAVE MANSBRIDGE has now entered the 2010 race. Telford AC's finest will be wearing race number 6 on the day.
Feb 4 ~ 313 entries have now been confirmed for the 2010 Runaround Wyre Forest 8, with another 5 having queries sorted out before processing.
Feb 3 ~ The position with regard to the all important club entries (remember we give a boxed silver salver AND a large bottle of bubbly to the club with the highest number of race entries) is as follows : TELFORD HARRIERS have 8 members entered / WORCESTER AC and KIDDERMINSTER & STOURPORT AC have 9 each / MALVERN JOGGERS currently have 10 / but far ahead of anyone else once again is SHROPSHIRE SHUFFLERS who will be represented on February 21st by 22 members. Can anybody stop them picking up another silver salver ?
Feb 3 ~ Entries have topped the 300 mark with to-day's post. That means there are now less than 50 places available : time to hurry up a little
Feb 2 ~ Your certificates have been received and will be in your goody bags on race day along with a medal & that all important Mars bar
Jan 30 ~ Our Race Licence has been received in to-day's post from UK Athletics.  For those who want to know about such things, the race licence number is 20091208.
Jan 29 ~ Just 84 places left for the Runaround Wyre Forest 8 : 2010.  Don't miss out.
Jan 29 ~ As the steady stream of entries becomes a flood (18 in to-day) there is a trend towards incorrect paperwork which not only means that we cannot process your entry, but also risks you not getting a place in the 2010 race. Please therefore : COMPLETE and SIGN your entry form : include a stamped addressed C5 size envelope THAT WILL SEAL when we have put your information & number inside - NO SMALLER PLEASE and DON'T SEAL IT : include a cheque for the CORRECT FEE, dated THIS MONTH and THIS YEAR, and SIGNED : please don't staple YOUR CHEQUE TO YOUR ENTRY FORM. Thank You. Oh, and we are happy for you to remain private with no telephone or e-mail details, but if you do this and there is a problem, we have no choice but to send everything back to you in your sae.

Jan 21 ~ Aha ! The first one arrived to-day. Royal Mail have delivered a card stating that the sender didn't pay full postage on an A4 envelope, and we can collect said envelope on payment of £1.08.  If this is YOUR entry, please be advised that we will not be collecting it from Royal Mail, and your entry will not arrive here to be processed. PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU PUT THE CORRECT POSTAGE ON BOTH OF YOUR ENVELOPES.
Jan 20 ~ While we are having a moan (what us ?) will you please refrain from stapling your cheque to the entry form. This is totally unnecessary as it performs no role whatsoever, and also means that we have to carefully unstaple your cheque before processing your entry. Every entry is processed and your race pack put into your envelope before we move on to the next one, so your cheque will not get lost. Thank you.
Jan 20 ~ We have had a couple of entries in to-day WITHOUT a stamped addressed envelope.  PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU DO NOT INCLUDE A STAMPED ADDRESSED ENVELOPE YOUR ENTRY WILL NOT BE PROCESSED AND YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOCATED A NUMBER FOR THE 2010 RACE.  Please ensure you include a correctly stamped, self-addressed envelope with your race entry.

Please don't delay and end up disappointed.

Feb 16 ~ Some minor adjustments to the 2008 ROC 8 results have been made. This affects those runners who were given the same time on the line, but were given slightly incorrect positions as the programme automatically sorts by lower race number if the times are the same. Where necessary, the positions have been manually adjusted as per the number recorders
Feb 13 ~ Nice review of Sunday's race on the Bournville Harriers website
Feb 12 ~ We have made two changes to the ROC 8 results, solving the two 'puzzles' left over from Sunday.  The runner in 247th place who was identified with a duplicate number 265 was actually SHEILA TAYLOR of Rugby & Northampton AC (no 264). Thanks to Tim Randell also of R&N AC for confirming it was Sheila. The unidentified lady runner without a number in 186th position was as we suspected JANE PUGH of Action Heart RC. Jane hadn't collected her number before the race, but thanks to Brian Smith of D-K RC for confirming it was Jane

Feb 1 ~ Amazing Feet's SIMON GREGG went for a little training run today, around the ROC 8 course !!!  Here is his report :

The forest tracks are lovely and smooth due to the Forestry Commission doing a lot of re-grading on the main roads, any past flooding damage on the tracks (notably on the way down to Mile 2) have been taken out. The stream is very muddy (or is that made worse by wearing road shoes!?) This is really the only muddy part of the course, miles 2-4 because of the diversion at 5 mile, as the bridge is out of action, and not using this side of the stream. The sandy track last section is relatively dry, and any mud is easily avoided. I got tired walking up the last hill, so phoned Dad to come and pick me up. I may try and get back up to the forest on Thursday next week, and if I do, I will let you know how the course is.

Jan 31 ~ We are delighted to confirm that last year's Ladies Champion SUSAN HOWARTH has entered the 2008 race. Susan will be wearing race number 002

Jan 24 ~ £300 worth of vouchers have been ordered today from Sweatshop which will be awarded to every finisher down to 10th in both the mens & ladies races, every category winner (currently down to M75 and F60) and the winning mens & ladies teams. And that doesn't include the winners vouchers
