RAISING THE PROFILE OF A LEADING SET OF
CHAMBERS
Background
The move to new premises was seen as a major marketing opportunity to raise Chamber's profile.
Image & Awareness Study
At the outset of the project, it became clear that the forthcoming move had raised an important internal debate regarding the Set's name.
Ridley Fleming recommended carrying out a brand awareness and perception review with a sample of Chamber's clients to determine what impact a change of name would have.
The findings revealed that Chamber's name was viewed by several clients as a brand in its own right. The review was also able to identify the brand's inherent strengths and weaknesses.
There were many positive attributes associated with the existing name. It was felt that a change of name might result in the loss of several years' valuable brand building and also cause confusion in the marketplace. As a result it was decided that Chambers should retain its existing name and build on the strengths associated with it.
Ridley Fleming also used the findings to develop a detailed design brief for a new corporate identity, brochure and related materials.
Launch Events
Ridley Fleming project-managed 3 major launch events to which Chamber's clients, members of the Bench and Bar and press were invited. The Lord Chief Justice was guest of honour and officiated at the opening ceremony.
Seminar Programme
Following on from the launch events, a seminar programme was put in place to draw existing and prospective clients to the new premises. The topics for the programme were identified by research amongst clients to identify those areas of greatest interest and value. The forum has allowed Chambers senior and junior barristers to meet with guests and discuss important aspects of the law within a structured yet semi-informal environment.
MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS FOR A NATIONAL MEMBERSHIP ORGANSISATION
Background
One of the reasons for joining this national organisation is to have access to its range of member benefits. In addition to many networking opportunities, a National Conference and regular seminars, members receive quarterly briefing notes and regular newsletters.
Technical Briefing Notes
This organisation holds regular events throughout year and throughout the UK on topics of interest to its members.
The seminars and workshops provide members with the opportunity to learn about new developments in their marketplace or gain further knowledge in specialist areas.
One of the benefits of membership is the availability of accompanying notes to these presentations. Ridley Fleming liases with the organisation's Regional Chairs and various speakers to collate the notes for members.
Members Newsletter
Ridley Fleming researches, authors, edits articles and project manages production of this regular newsletter for members.
Articles range from Customer Relationship Management to Designing a Web Site that Works, together with details of people on the move and new services launched by member's firms.
The newsletter is circulated to all PSMG members and is also available at regional meetings and the National Conference.
