Tactic

A new class of easy to build racing yachts designed with beginners in mind which can be built with or without radio control. The kit has a full set of parts for the free sailing version and can be built without special tools or experience. The radio version uses standard inexpensive 2 channel radio control equipment.

These 600 mm long boats were designed by the world renown model yacht designer and champion Ian Bantock. As one would expect with a pedigree like that they are fast and easy to sail.

The club is sponsoring the production and distribution of the kits to get this new class going. So far over 20 kits have been sold to club members and friends. We will be racing them with the larger R36 through the winter series. They will have their own races every two weeks through the summer starting in April 2001 (see summer timetable).
