I'm often asked for my recipes, for
which my husband Terry and son Tim
have been patient guinea pigs over the years. Here is a small collection
of some of the more popular ones. They are generally designed to have
lots of flavour, be quick and easy to make, and to yield plenty of portions!

In my spare time, I am also a volunteer representative for Traidcraft,
an organisation set up to promote fairer trading practices with 3rd world
countries. Colleagues and neighbours can order from me via my Traidcraft@rigdenage
site.

Another hobby of mine over the years has been poetry,
some of which I've included here. My poems tend to be short, and perhaps
deceptively simple. More can be found in my book, Mis-Steps
and Dances.

We've also developed a recent fascination for the inland waterways, and
have tried a few canal holidays. Some photos
and trip reports are available here with thumbnails for speed of download.

My work
at BT Adastral Park as an inhouse
consultant involves user interface evaluations and advising on the interaction
design of graphical user interfaces and web sites. My focus is on good
conceptual design and structure, consistency and usability. I also write
general design guidelines for developers, and styleguides for individual
projects.
