009 (narrow gauge) model trains

Here are some pictures of my now defunct model of Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway circa 1905. (OO scale 9 mm gauge)

I chose the Welshpool and Llanfair because of its charm and idiosyncratic nature, something different from the "Slate Quarry" rabbit warren or the GWR branch. The idea was to produce a model railway in a landscape rather than the usual tangle of track. More pictures, a track plan and a description will be added soon.

Valley Forge. Scratch built loco based on Farish chassis, building from Linka. (93Kb)

In the not too distant future I hope to describe how I built my own track and points from printed circuit off-cuts . Also how I built the loco and rolling stock from scratch.
