| Readers comments - I'd never been to this pub before and have to admit I was pleasantly surprised! The place was quite cosy and the landlord and staff friendly. The landlord told us he’d been there 11 years. There are now two beers on, one of which is the regular Tetleys. The other is taken from the new Punch Taverns range of guests. Cask Marque and this was reflected in the beer quality (just approaching 4 star) There was a partly covered outdoor smoking area fitted with a woodburner. Pity it wasn’t lit! - Mar 2011 |
