 Freehouse. This pub
is really in Wales, but the corner of the car park is in Shropshire so it deserves a
pubsurvey listing. A warm and comfortable pub located west of Shrewsbury not far from Crew
Green. Well kept beer. Food served in a restaurant area. Car park. Real fire. The beer was
well kept and tasty. Check out the stuffed Buzzard in the bar. Tel - 01743 884379. Visited

| Readers comment - Yesterday we went to The Old Hand & Diamond for lunch - truly a very nice pub with three beers on and good food. Even though on many websites it's address is given as Shropshire I think this is certainly one case for moving the border as I'm sure the Powys CAMRA branch don't visit the pub and it certainly should be considered for the Good Beer Guide - Mar 2006 |
