Comfortable old pub with lots of black oak beams and a nice pub sign. Bar
and dining area. Food served. Large car park. The Wadworths 6X was a bit ordinary,
the Black Sheep Bitter was a bit bland, and the Boddingtons was also a bit
disappointing. All the beers were well kept, but they were just not as

comments - Pub seems to be shut and boarded up - Sep 2005 - Reopened again - Dec 2005 - They have constructed a small hut outside the main door where smokers can go and still enjoy their bad habit - Nov 2006 - Visited this pub recently. WOW what a difference the new owners have made to this lovely pub! The new owner Jayne Walker is very friendly, her daughter Vikki is the chef and the food is fabulous. They support local businesses by buying locally sourced food. Good helpful friendly staff, good stock of quality wines and beers. Good value food, child and dog friendly. Well worth a visit - Mar 2007 |
