Taken over by new owners in 2008 - formerly called Hanby Ales
which was started by Jack Hanby in 1988 just after the big
brewery, Wem Ales, was closed down by owners Greenalls
With a brewing capacity of around 100 barrels a week, the brewery supplies the local free trade - and has won many
awards. New plans include the installation of a bottling plant on
the site.
