Plume of Feathers

Lively 17th century inn. Friendly and popular pub with a restaurant area, accommodation and bar meals. Open all day. Large car park. Collection of water jugs above the bar, a full size cider press in the middle of the bar, and some historic oak panelling taken from a Charles I oak bedhead. And plenty of beams as well. The building dates from 1620. Two real ales, with the Tiger being the tastier of the two. St. Georges flag flies proudly outside. Situated on the A458 between Shrewsbury and Much Wenlock. Tel - 01952 727360. Visited July 2005.
