Pubmaster pub. Food
served. Beer garden at the back. The number of TVs outnumbers the real
áles. More TVs than real ales - so popular with football fans. Pub
has a standard Pubmaster corporate feel to it. The Old Speckled Hen was
tasty. Accommodation. Situated on 52 Mill Street. Tel - 01584 872429. Visited

comments - Comfortable interior, friendly staff and
newspapers to read. Ticks all the boxes for me. The food menu looks
excellent too. Ludlow Gold very drinkable stuff with a nice hoppy flavour
9/10 - Mar 2009 Visited on a Tuesday afternoon. The refurbishment has certainly been extensive and is sympathetic to the location, which is superb. We spent our time on the upstairs balcony overlooking the Teme and the bridge, with the Clee Hills in the background. Four beers on all of which were local. (Hobsons, Wye Valley and Ludlow) My sample was excellent - a 4 star - Nov 2010 |
Church Inn |
![]() Freehouse.
Excellent selection of real ales including guest bitters - six ales on our
last visit. Bustling pub but the beer is a
bit pricey. Collection of barrel taps and handpull signs. Nice hops on the beams. Food
served - try the tasty sausage baguettes, but the pork pies are well
overpriced. Accommodation. Beer was a bit cold
on our last visit.
Situated close to the church in the town centre. A real fire. Tel - 01584 872174. Visited

comments - Was very busy when I was there on a Friday
lunchtime. Numerous real ales on, including Ludlow Boiling Well and Gold.
Boiling Well - tasty, strong, well-rounded beer 9/10 - Mar 2009 Nice to see Three Tuns Bitter here at last. A stunning beer from this extraordinary craft brewery. Beer packed full of flavour served magnificently. 10/10 - Mar 2010 Visited on a Tuesday afternoon Hobsons Mild - 3 stars - others in my party were not so complimentary about their beers – perhaps too many beers on for the winter season - Dec 2010 |

The Globe |
|
Readers comments - Whilst the Globe no longer exists and has been replaced by a Thai Restaurant, an adjacent room was converted into a bar area separate from the restaurant (known locally as The Thai Bar) Usual pub / bar facilities apply here with one guest real ale on amongst a couple of the usual lagers etc. Generally relaxed with a mix of sofas and comfy chairs, with a more lively atmosphere on a Friday night. Occasional Thai style barbeques in the summer. Worth a look in - Jun 2011 |
