Church Inn

Freehouse. Excellent selection of real ales including guest bitters - seven ales on our last visit. Bustling pub but the beer is a bit pricey. Collection of barrel taps and handpull signs. Nice hops on the beams. Food served - try the tasty sausage baguettes. Accommodation. Beer was very cold on our last visit. Situated close to the church in the town centre. A real fire. The Compasses

Pubmaster pub. Open all day. Large screen television. It used to have a Spanial - has anyone spotted it lately? Accommodation. Lots of sporting paraphernalia. Freehouse. Open all day. Good food served. Located out of the way at the end of a small alleyway off Church Street. Tables outside in the courtyard at the front and in the patio area at the back of the pub. Accommodation. Popular with locals, friendly, very smokey, with a separate eating area. Squirrel

Marstons pub opened in 2008. Exposed brick, beams and the odd leather chair together with lots of pink lights give this new pub a nice comfortable feel. Big car park and it's right next to a motel and petrol station. The food was served quickly, and it was good value and tasty. The Sneck Lifter Bitter was on top forim. Situated at the top of Foldgate Lane where it meets the A49. Tel - 01584 879940. Visited Mar 2008
