Freehouse hotel. AA two star hotel situated on the main road through Much Wenlock. Accommodation. Food served. Small homely bar and lounge. Restaurant area. Bar has a cast iron stove and a collection of water jugs. Lounge has a real fire. Car park. The Directors was nicely bittered and the Deuchars very refreshing. Traditional pub with a friendly feel. Low ceilings, beams and a huge collection of water jugs. Food served. Good selection of real ales - and it was all well kept. Quiz night every other week. Talbot Inn

Freehouse. Very popular with diners because this is a comfortable, traditional old pub with plenty of beams. The beer was tasty but a bit pricey. Food is served - ham sandwiches are a bit pricy - but at least credit cards are taken. Accommodation. Situated at 13 High Street. Tel - 01952 727077. Visited Feb 2000, May 2001 and Sep 2003
