- Visited on a Saturday afternoon. The pub seems to have been spruced up, which includes the addition of a conservatory area acting as a dining room. Beer range is M&B plus 2 local guest beers. Sampled the Shropshire Lad, which was an excellent 4 star - Jun 2010

- Visited on a Friday evening and it was busy. The landlord is developing an upstairs lounge looking out over the beer garden. Beer range as described – 4 stars - Apr 2011

Friendly pub with two rooms, a beer garden, car park, and bar with pool table. Food served - including a very well priced Sunday roast. Lots of horsey pictures on the walls. Occasional live music. On the main A488 in Pontesbury. Visited Aug 1999  Pub website
