Banks's pub. Banks's beer on electric pump. The pub has a bar, lounge and pool room and a car park at the back. The Carribean beach bar with bamboo furniture and panoramic seaside murals have now been replaced by a more modest interior. The Banks's beers were okay but a bit ordinary. Pub food served. Situated near the bridge on the B4357. Tel - 01939 260651. Visited Aug 2001 and Mar 2005

Talbot Inn

Freehouse. Pleasant country pub with a bookcase full of books in the lounge. Comfortable surroundings and a real fire too. good selection of beer. Low beams. Castle Eden Ale is quite a rare find in Shropshire, and this was tasty and moreish, quite sweet and served at a good temperature. Two handpulled ales were not available on the night of the visit. Large car park at the back. Food served. Tel - 01939 260663. Visited Aug 2000 and May 2001 and Mar 2005

Top House Inn

Freehouse. Nice local formerly called the Admiral Benbow. The sign outside says there is an upstairs restaurant. Food served. There are only a few car parking spaces outside. Beers well kept, but the Tetleys in particular was just not very tasty, but it has to be said that the beer tasting team have never been big supporters of Tetley Bitter. Accommodation. Situated on the main street, B4357, in Ruyton. Visited Aug 2000 and Mar 2005
