Freehouse. This is a popular welcoming village pub with a real fire. Bar and lounge. Beer very well kept and tasty with a regular guest ale. Car park around the back. Interior is listed by CAMRA because it's been unchanged for so long. Christmas time always brings an interesting cartoon painted on the mirror in the front bar which also has a traditional red and black quarry tile checkerboard floor. Huge collection of beermats on the beams and some interesting black and white photographs adorn the walls. Beer garden too. Tel - 01691 650247. Visited Oct 2011    Pub website
