Uffington

Corbet Arms

Freehouse. Refurbished and reopened in 2010. Large pub with a bar at one end but most of the pub is used for the dining area. Situated just off the B5062 east of Shrewsbury. We enjoyed the food, the Shropshire Gold was a bit tastier than the London Pride. Neat patio area at the back overlooking the floodlit bowling green with seats all around. Large car park. Not to be confused with the Corbet Arms at Upton Magna. It's best to book if you want a table at weekends. Tel - 01743 709232. Visited Oct 2011  Pub website

Readers comments - Re-opened in 2010
Went for a meal on a Tuesday night. I agree with previous comments, in fact we thought the food was excellent and a decent price. I sampled London Pride and Shropshire Gold (Abbot Ale was also on), but at best can award it only 3 star. Didn't much care for the open plan boarded flooring which made it all a bit noisy - Jan 2011
