Applying Car Stats - Tutorial
| First locate the following three files... | |
| These are located within your GTAIII\DATA folder. Make a BACKUP of these files before you edit any of them. |
| Open up "DEFAULT.IDE" in Notepad... | |
| You need to replace the ENTIRE line that is highlighted with the corresponding line from the text file that was in your download. The line is longer than shown in the picture, make sure you replace it ALL. Don't leave any blank lines between cars and make sure the next car starts on a NEW LINE. |
| Open up "HANDLING.CFG" and do the same... | |
| Again, you need to replace the ENTIRE line that is highlighted with the corresponding line from the text file that was in your download. |
| Open up "CARCOLS.DAT" and do the following... | |
| Replace the "# 10 red1" line (highlighted) with the line from your text file. |
| Replace the "# 39 yellow10" line (highlighted) with the line from your text file. |
| Replace the "# 58 blue9" line (highlighted) with the line from your text file. |
| Replace the ENTIRE line that is highlighted with the line from your text file. That's the car stats done. |
