This fish inhabits everyones dreams at night, especially during the close season or the wife's birthday. It is distinguished from its real cousin by the fact that it is usually of record-breaking weight, bigger than your mate's, and often brought about by an evening of excess.

Some really sad cases of dissolute anglers sometimes believe their dreams and relate these Dream Carp as if really caught. These people should ejected from your club with great force, or compelled to spend a whole season match-fishing.

These fish have even been known to penetrate an angler's sub-conscious when driving along the motorway. These people should not be humiliated, but with care and extensive carp-fishing sessions should eventually be cured.
