Saturday September 8th 2001 was the day we took delivery of our Morgan 4/4.

We arrived at John Gill, our Morgan dealer, at a little after 13:00. Our car was waiting for us!

It was 6 years, 6 months and 7 days since we had placed the original order (on 1st March, 1995).

We had a very good look round the car, and made sure all her bits and pieces were there. Salesman Jonathon Kennerly did an excellent job as usual.

... and got ready for Rob's 50 mile drive home. The only time Rob had driven a Morgan before was a 5 mile test spin on a horrible wet day.

Naturally, Rob was a little(!) apprehensive at the prospect, but delighted to get his hands on it at last!

Surprisingly enough, our arrival resulted in a little interest from friends and neighbours, some of whom knew about our imminent arrival...

... and some of whom didn't!!!

We are now looking forward to many miles of Morgan motoring and the car is settling down in her new home (which I must get round to tidying soon)!
