 Gordon Radley

Former TVS continuity announcer, Gordon Radley, switched channels in the 1980's to read the news for South Today in Southampton.

 

Gordon can now be seen reading the over night news on Sky News.

 Don Riddell

Former YTV Calendar presenter Don Riddell, went on to present the sport on LNN's London Tonight.

Don now works for CNN, presenting World Sport.

 Steve Rider

From Anglia Television to BBC Sport. Steve has presented numerous BBC Sport programmes including Grandstand and the 2002 Winter Olympics.

 Caroline Righton

Caroline first appeared presenting London Plus in 1986, along with John Stapleton, Linda Mitchell and latterly Richard Bath.

Caroline then moved to TV-am in 1987.

A move back to the BBC followed by 1988, reading the short BBC Daytime bulletins and BBC Breakfast Time bulletins in 1988.

Next was BSB, Sky News, ITN and the occasional filling in on LWT News in 1990.

Caroline is now Controller, Regional Programmes and Programme Development at Carlton Westcountry in Plymouth.

Westward, 1960s.

 Angela Rippon

Former Westward and BBC Spotlight reporter, Angela went on to present the BBC News (being the first female newsreader on Prime Time BBC News), including the 9 O'clock News. During this period, Angela made a famous appearance on the Morecambe and Wise show! She also presented the BBC's Come Dancing programme!

In 1983, Angela was one of the "Famous Five" big names that launched TV-am. She didn't stay long!

Since TV-am, Angela has presented a varied range of programmes, including Day Out for BBC West, Watchdog Healthcheck and Holiday. Angela is also Chairman of the English National Ballet.

Angela presented the news bulletins on Channel 4's Big Breakfast for a short time in the late 1990's.

Angela has now joined ITN as one of the "Star Presenters" to cover the "War on Saddam" on the ITV News Channel.

 Debbie Rix

Former BBC Breakfast Time newsreader, Debbie Rix, went on to join the line up for Game for a Laugh and to co-present Fax.

Debbie is now BBC i's Home and Interiors expert and runs her own TV production company.
