About Me
What do I do?
I work as a software consultant for CODA a software house which specialises in Financial Systems on a variety of platforms. I specialise in the Digital VAX platform. My role there is broadly split into four - Training, Implementation, General Consultancy and Support Desk.
My Background - work
I have been directly involved with computers and computing for more years than I really care to remember. The first computer I worked on was an ICL 1905 with 64k of memory and it almost filled a whole room, and used punch cards and papertape. From there I progressed onto supporting systems and then designing and implementing systems. Initially these revolved around purchasing, and then I moved onto financial systems some 10 years ago.
Family
I live in a village near Farnham Surrey with my wife Annette and son Michael.
Interests
Apart from my obvious interest in Minis and computers, I am also interested in all forms of cars and Motor Sport. To this end I am also chairman of Guildford Motor Club, and set up their web page. More recently I have created the web pages for the Mini Cooper Register. I also collect books and magazines on cars and motor sport.
Appearing here shortly will be a list of books that I am currently looking for.
