Zerontec can offer bespoke software for thermal energy analysis including based on Excel spreadsheets, and programs in VB, C# and FORTRAN. Example Click on SLAB for calculation of non-steady-state temperatures in a one-dimensional solid slab. SLAB calculates the 1-dimensional transient heat conduction in a slab of solid material. The model can be applied to simulate the heat transfer in furnace walls or in plane shape loads in furnaces. A heat flux is applied to one face, and a convective boundary to the other. Heat flux can be supplied as a constant, or alternatively, calculated from a specified radiant temperature and surface emissivity. A library of furnace wall and load materials and their temperature dependent properties is presented. For more general use, the user can specify constant values for conductivity, specific heat and density. An example of the user frame and typical input/output data, is shown below:
