What makes a good website?

Effective websites depend on well written content and on clear, logical structure. Because people tend to read websites by scanning the text, rather than reading every word, it's best to keep it short and snappy.

Website planning, design, writing and editing
I use Dreamweaver to create my websites, with the help of Fireworks and Photoshop. Additional tweaking comes from HTML and JavaScript.

The first step is to plan the content of your website, working out appropriate information architecure - how to structure the site in the clearest and most logical way. I can create appropriate content for you, or liaise with a team of designers, writers and editors.

Website editing and proofreading
Just as in any other medium, the text for a website has to be carefully edited. The style, for example, has to be appropriate for the web so that it is easy to read on screen. Then the finished website has to be checked through to ensure that no mistakes have slipped through.
