I'm called Tom Doggett, by the way, and I've got several hobbies/interests/things, or whatever you want to call them. My favourite is football (that's soccer if you're uninitiated), and I'm a big fan of Cheltenham Town Football Club, and I do their official web site.
I'm 18 years old, and I have taken a year out between passing my A Levels (phew!), and going to University (hopefully!). For that year, I'm working a couple of days a week at the local garden centre, and I've set up a company called InToTheNet, doing corporate web design (bit like this only posher!). I plan to do Business at university, so Iknow how to run one ;-)
I live in a little village called Toddington, in a really beautiful area of the UK, called the Cotswolds. The map on the left shows moreorless where I am. You can just about see me if you look closely. Think I'm joking? Click on the picture......
Anyway, as I said, it's a really nice area to live in, and so I've done a page about the local area. I spent three days coming up with a name that would sum up its content in a way that everyone will understand, and I eventually came up with 'Local Area.' This is quite ironic, as it was the 73rd title I came up with, yet I dismissed it at that point, only to re-use it as option number 891. When I saw this duplication, I knew that it was the title for me!
Music-wise, I enjoy most things from the 60s, and modern music - The Beatles, The Hollies, and that sort of thing, and the Manic Street Preachers, Beautiful South, and that sort of thing. I hate the Spice Girls. Most other bands I can cope with, but NOT the Spice Girls. I enjoy some of Cher's earlier music ('I got you babe' etc), but I can't stand what she's doing at the moment - why doesn't she act her age? Some of those skirts/dresses she's been wearing look terrible on her, and WHY CAN'T SHE LEARN TO DANCE PROPERLY?
Well that's my little rant. Hope you enjoyed it. As you have probably guessed, I quite enjoy computer stuff, and doing web sites, so it is great that I am doing this company now (InToTheNet). I intend to continue it on during and after university, and it is now starting to take off (it was only set up in the summer).
I can't imagine that anyone really wants to know any more about me, so I'll stop now, and let you have a look at the rest of the site.....
