Hello and welcome to my website.

I am a fiction writer living near St Andrews in the beautiful Kingdom of Fife.  I can’t say when I first started writing as I seem to have been inventing characters and making up stories for them for as long as I can remember.  I didn’t think anyone else would be interested in ‘my rambling’, as I called it, but in 2001 I submitted a short story to The People’s Friend and to my delight it was accepted.  Since then I’ve had stories, serials and articles published in a variety of magazines and a story included in the anthology Scary Shorts for Halloween (Accent Press).

I now work fulltime as a writer which means I’m lucky enough to spend my days doing something I love whether that’s sitting at my keyboard or taking long walks on the beach with my loopy Dalmatian, Mac, while I think up new ideas.

I am always happy to accept commissions or to give a talk on writing so please don’t hesitate to contact me.  In the meantime I hope you enjoy visiting this site.
