September 1999  With the new season of television in the UK underway French and Saunders capture the cover of the Radio Times for the second time in 1999.  Joanna Lumley also captures a few pages as she returns to her now not so deserted Island as a more civilized Girl Firday.  Details here

August 1999  The BBC announces it new season lin up, French And Saunders are back in Let then Eat Cake, and Joanna Lumley returns to Tsarabanjina five years after her castaway experience as Girl Friday.

July 1999 Joanna Lumley's publisher announces the release of her biography due out in October 1999

July 1999   High Seas Role For Ab Fab Julia Sawalha who is preparing for a week on the high seas - not for her latest acting role but as part of a Greenpeace team to prevent oil exploration. The Absolutely Fabulous actress is due to board the Rainbow Warrior boat on Thursday or Friday before heading for the Outer Hebrides for a week-long trip. She will be part of a 30-strong crew who will be in the area around St Kilda, which organisers claim is being targeted by multinational oil companies who have been given the green light by the government to drill for oil. June 1999 Comedy Partners Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders begin recording of a new sitcom Written by Peter Learmouth Called Let them Eat Cake.  The new show is due to air in the UK in the Fall.

December 1999   The first time together in  3 years French and Saunders record a Christmas special with sketches on Titanic, The Coors,  and as always F and S humour.  Attended by Friends of  Fabulous World in the cold rain of December it was a recording worth the wait!
