| Listening Halls, Echo Rooms and Batteries. |

Most of the tower at this level contained the upper parts of the two studios
in the sub-basement, both of which had galleries which were accessed from the basement
level; pictures of them are shown in the sub-basement pages. Outside the tower were two Listening Halls, several Echo Rooms, batteries for the emergency lighting, and the 100 k.w. diesel driven generator which could maintain essential supplies in the event of a power cut. |
