Roger's Computer Art Page

Some years ago, I saw a television program in which a number of contemporary artists, including David Hockney, used a computer to produce pictures in various styles. At the time, the computing resources required were fabulously expensive, but the idea of such a controllable medium was really exciting.

Nowadays, quite modest hardware and software resources are all that is required to produce exciting images, although, of course, the limiting factor of the artist's creativity level is still present.

Producing backgrounds and images for these pages has been an eye-opener in the frustrations and delights of image manipulation through technology. I hope you enjoy the results.

Meanwhile, here are some useful sites - mostly courtesy of Computer Arts magazine!
