I like many sorts of music, but mostly (nowadays) I listen more to what is generally called "classical" music, although I played the electric guitar for 30 years or more. I enjoy unusual music - crossover, avant-garde, etc. and hope to experiment on the computer. I have included details of my musical setup (incuding some of my own compositions) if you are interested, which should give you more idea of the sort of things I might be able to do if the time is right!
I have a particular interest in the philosophy and practice of using a computer to make music; I don't mean producing some sort of techno-bash which sounds like a mere computer, but more along the lines of reproducing music that might have been played by musicians in a live context.
In my list of music places, I though it might be a good idea to include some to suppliers of musical gear, because I find it useful to keep up with the latest changes in technology. This is in addition to sources of MIDI files and other information.
Finally, I have put in some unusual musical ideas, just to whet your appetite.
Please let me know if you spot any good music sites you think I should include! I know there are thousands of sites dedicated to all sorts of music, but I am trying to put in those that I find particularly interesting, or that I think will go along with my musical philosophy.
