Other Interests

My wife's name is Jacqueline, and I have 2 grown-up daughters and 2 grandsons. My son-in-law Karl takes excellent wild life photographs, and I hope to include some in my gallery, soon.

I don't have a particular interest in 'great literature', but I do have a fascination with all sorts of books; needless to say, most of my books are on the subjects I have already highlighted, but I also seem to have collected some on other themes. I don't like to dispose of books, somehow...

During the '60s and '70s I collected a lot of fantasy and science fiction; I still buy a few, but I discovered a few years ago that my memory was failing somewhat, and so I could re-read a book that I hadn't read for 15-20 years, and it was as if I had never read it before! This is going to save me a fortune as I get older....

I have a few 'odd' books - such as a gazetteer for the Great Western Railway - and quite a few books on Devon and particularly Dartmoor.

I used to have a few interesting bits of ephemera on guitars - early Gibson and Fender catalogues - but foolishly threw them away before I discovered how collectible they had become. I have a few books on guitars and things, but not enough to dignify with the term 'collection'.
