Saturday 16th October at 6.00.pm sees a bonus event for Midland race fans with an additional BriSCA Stock Car Racing event now being staged at Coventry Stadium with promoters Startrax transferring their event from Manchester's Belle Vue Stadium.

 

The impressive Brandon Stadium which last month staged the sports World Championship before a capacity audience stages another major Championship event featuring the three top Stock Car race divisions in the UK.

 

The awesome Formula One Stock Cars as always take centre stage and once again a grid of approaching sixty cars are entered with what may prove vital 2011 World Championship points at stake. Added to that the sport is at the business end of the season with the National Points Shoot Out at stake for the Nations top 12 who will battle it out and where every point is vital in the race for the Silver Roof. Competition is fierce with the stars of BBC TV's Gears & Tears programme once again slugging it out at the top of table and Yorkshires Frankie Wainman Junior will be desperate to salvage the Silver Roof from what has otherwise been a big year again for arch rivals the Smith's with Andy lifting the World Crown last month.

 

Big grids of Formula Two Stock Cars are assured. Competition to appear in this event which is the prestigious ENGLISH OPEN Championship has been fierce however with a mammoth programme of championship stock car racing programmed bookings have been limited to a selected 60 drivers with 30 in each qualifying heat! There is a healthy list of eager reserve drivers to take up any last minute spaces! The sport also celebrates 50 years in 2010 and the 16th sees a coveted round of the 50's Series heightening the competitive edge.

 

Complimenting the two main stream BriSCA race divisions are the top drawe V8 Hot Stox. Powered by generally V8 race prepared Rovers as opposed to the big leagues American muscle, this class is designed as a lower budget class but yet delivers superb full contact action.

The premier British Championship title is the focus of the evenings proceedings and with 3 races featuring a unique closed grid formation and already approaching 30 entrants expect plenty of action.

 

The event starts at 6.pm with V8 Stock Cars and BriSCA F2 qualifying although F1 afficianados need not worry at the Big League don't take to the track until 7.00.pm.

 

An action packed 14 hours of racing finishing around 10.15.pm promises a high octane evening out BriSCA style at one of the UK's best appointed venues. Make the MobileCashMate Stadium at Coventry your rendesvouz this coming Saturday 16th October at 6.pm
