To get up on Sunday morning wasn't so easy. When I
opened my eyes and looked above me, all I could see was ice.
Brrrr....who had this idea ??? Now I knew, why peoples sometimes give us funny looks.
It must be tattooed across our foreheads, that we are crazy.... Anyway, up up and away.
I could hear that Andy and Tony were also awake, so I got dressed and started to cook my
breakfast. After we had eaten and a view cups of coffee later, we packed away all our gear and
were ready for the last hill. By now it started to snow again.
On the CB we could hear
that Brian suggested one should concentrate rather to get down from the hills,
because he wanted all the teams back at the startingpoint around 1400 hours. We radioed
to him, that we would like to give it a go to reach No. 3 but if we could see, that we
make no or only little progress, that we will turn around and head for the meetingpoint.
He agreed and of we went. By now it was about 0930. Again we walked, looked about
2 to 300 metres ahead of the cars, decided were to drive and made our way up the hill.
Apart from one little climb, we drove all the way and found out pretty quick that
No. 3 was the easiest of them all. At 1135 we reached the final destination.
