Christian Henderson, aged 58, married to Peter Henderson, sherriff clerk, Castlehead, Paisley, died 24th December 1866, Parents: Arthur Chillas, candlemaker and Isabella Cochrane. Death notified by R. Henderson, stepson.

Christian was born 1808 Kilbarchan. She married Peter Henderson in Paisley in 1837. Their son Arthur Chillas Henderson emigrated to New Zealand. (See Family Tree 1 on this site for more information).

Christian Forrest, aged 78, widow of William Forrest, joiner and timber merchant, died 23rd November 1878 at 10 Incle Street, Paisley, Parents Robert Chillas and ____ Anderson. Death notified by John Kilpatrick, nephew, 16 Abbey Street.

Christian was born 1800 to Robert Chillas and Elison Anderson. (See Chillas Family Tree 1 for more information).

Register of Deaths  Aberdeen

Margaret Duncan, aged 66, married to David Duncan, Asst Inspector of Cleansing, residing 37 Marischal Street, Aberdeen, died 27th June 1878, Parents: Alexander Chillas and Sophia Stewart. Death notified by husband, David Duncan.

Margaret was born 1807 Kinnellar and married David Duncan in 1839 Kinnellar.

Sophia Cruickshank, aged 67, widow of Charles Cruickshank, general labourer, died 11th September 1880 at 45 Upper Denburn, Aberdeen, Parents: Alexander Chillas and Sophia Stewart. Death notified by grand-daughter, Sophia Ann Cruickshank, inmate.

Sophia was born 1813 Kinnellar and married Charles Cruickshank 1839 Kinnellar.

Charles Cruickshank, aged 55, Police labourer, 45 Upper Denburn, married to Sophia Chillas, Parents: John Cruickshank, farmer, and Ann Smith. Death notified by daughter Margaret Cruickshank.

Alexander Chilles, Tailor (Master), single, aged 43, died 24th May 1863, Parents Alexander Chillas and Sophia Steward. Death notified by Isabel Chillas, sister.

Alexander was born 1819 Banchory Ternan.

Register of Marriages Daviot

John Hardie, shoemaker, Pitblain, Daviot, on 9th November 1871, Parents:James Hardie and Sarah McDonald, married Jane Duncan, in an Episcopalian ceremony, Jane's Parents: David Duncan and Margaret Chilles.

John Hardie was the brother of Margaret Hardie (wife of James Chillas). Margaret Chillas was born 1807 Kinnellar, the daughter of Alexander Chillas and Sophia Stewart. David Duncan b. 1824 Lumphanan to Robert Duncan and Jane Watt.
