St Nicholas, Aberdeen
23rd August 1765, Robert Chillas and Christian Strachan his spouse had a son born named Robert baptized by Revd Mr Gordon in presence of George Malcolm baker and James Brodie Excise Officer.
2nd December 1766, Robert Chillas and Christian Strachan his spouse had a son born names Alexander baptized by Revd Dr Riddoch of St Paul's in presence of Robert Couts and Patrick McNeal.
17th October 1768, William (sic) Chillas and Christian Strachan his spouse had a son born named James baptized by the Revd Dr George of St Paul's in presence of James Chisolm and Robert Couts both merchants.
20th August 1770, Robert Chillas and Christian Strachan his spouse had a son born named Arthur baptized by the Revd Dr Riddoch in presence of James Boyn Excise Officer and Alexander Marr butcher.
Two of these children died in 1770 and are buried at St. Nicholas churchyard. One was Robert b 1765 . The other was probably James. The family left Aberdeen for Greenock then the US/Canada in 1770 but had returned to Aberdeen by 1790.
It is possible that they returned to the US and died there. There is no record of Robert and family in the Police Rent Rolls for Aberdeen in 1795. (See "Strays" (second page) on this site for more information).

Alexander Shillas and his wife Sophia Stewart in Hatton had a son born baptised November 12th and named John.

Alexander Shillas in Hattonburn had a daughter born by his wife Sophia Stuart baptised May 13th and named Jane.
Drumoak, Aberdeenshire
1826
Alexander Chillace in Candyglerach had by his wife Sophia Stewart a child born who being baptised before witnesses was named Thomas.
1829
Isabella, lawful daughter of Alexander Chullice and Sophia Stewart was born 4th September 1829 and baptised before these witnesses Francis Adams and Alexander Calder.
These are the Children of Alexander Chillas and Sophia Stewart. (See Chillas Family Tree 3 on this site for more information). The different spellings of the surname Chillas is perhaps an indication of the original pronunciation of the name.
