Granted
by the College of Art and Technology in 1973, the heraldic theme of
the Institutions coat of arms is its founding members.
The
crest of a resplendent rhinoceros, is a reference to our esteemed
Presidents name. The book and quill pen symbolise the
Institutions desire to record only genuine isms. The rampant
pig, or prize boar, honours the current Chairman & Chief
Executive. The locked castle tower under an eastern crown pays homage
to the original keeper of the ISMS database - the Prince of East Segiston.
The
Institution's motto Back to Quo Vadis expresses the
Presidents desire to maintain the status quo. |
