COOK/COOKE RESEARCH INTERESTS

My interest in the Cook/Cooke family name stems from Ann Cooke, daughter of John and Rachel Cooke, who was baptised at Cleobury Mortimer, Shropshire, in 1785.  She was probably my 4xgreat grandmother, marrying John Bevan at Neen Savage, Shropshire, in 1801, her name being spelt Cook in the marriage register.  While this would have made her probably only 16 years of age at her marriage, she must have married young as she was bearing children for 26 years after her marriage.  Her children were Elizabeth (1803), John (1805), Anne (1807), Sarah (1809), John (1811), Caroline (1813), William (1816), Margaret (1820), James (1823) and Thomas (1827).

I have not been able to find out any more of Ann's ancestry.
