My interest in the Davies family stems from Elizabeth Davies who married John Faulkner on 28th October 1792 at Clun, Shopshire. They had at least two children, Mary (1793) and John (1798), both baptised at Clun. John may have been my 3xgreat grandfather (and therefore Elizabeth Davies my 4xgreat grandmother), but I can not be sure because there are two John Faulkners (first cousins) baptised so close to each other in Clun/Clunbury at this time.
I have no clue as to the ancestry of Elizabeth Davies, and being such a common name in Shropshire at that time, it seems rather futile to attempt any further research on that line, so I have not done so.
