| Adding
your own tips to the 'Tip of the Day' dialog The file 'tipofday.tip' found in the installation path contains a
list of the tips displayed when the application starts. You can add your own tips to
the list by editing the file using 'Notepad' or a similar editor.
The steps to edit the 'tipofday.tip'
file are;
- Open the 'Notepad' application.
- Open the 'tipofday.tip' file the
default location is 'C:\Program Files\Ritsk Assessment Tool' unless you changed this when
installing Ritsk.
- From the edit menu select 'Word Wrap'.
- Any new tips should be entered on a
new line at the end of the file. Tips must be written all in one line, if you want
to add a line in the tip of the day dialog enter '@@' where you want the line to appear.
- Save the file.
Be sure that there are no empty lines
in the file. Ritsk recognises each tip by the carriage return character produced by
pressing the carriage return or enter keys.
The tips are displayed one at a time
starting at the first line then continuing until the last line is encountered. Once
the last line is reached the tips are displayed again starting from the beginning.
