If you are interested in employing a Mechanical Engineer in Australia during the second half of 2000, see my CV,
I am an Australian engineer working in the UK. My hobbies include computers, motorcycling & cars. I am considering writing a page about all the cars & motorcycles I've ever owned, with photos as well. It would be interesting to me anyway...
My last car was one that I believe is only found in Australia. In the rest of the world, they had Corolla GTis with two doors. In Australia, they put t he GTi engine & bits into an ordinary Corolla to make them faster like this one. Because it had so much rust in it, I had to sell it really cheap along with my newly fixed up motorcycle to come over here :(

Now here in the UK we have need of something a bit bigger, so enter the Camel, a 1987 Citroen BX19 TRS Estate. I call it the camel because of it's hydraulic suspension. It sinks down overnight, and when you start it in the morning it rises up to it's normal height, just like a camel does. Unfortunately it doesn't drink like a camel. Here it is all covered with snow, with my son & I posing in front of it.

I had my first experience with computers at school, using a WANG 2200, with an enormous 12k of memory, a BASIC interpreter and a cassette tape drive for data storage. It looked a bit like this one. When the school bought an Apple ][+, with 48kb and a disk drive, it was like Christmas! Now I have a Pentium II with 192 Mb of memory, which would have been a fair size hard disk only 8 years ago. It runs Windows 98 (for games) and Red Hat Linux 6.1 (for everything else).
