Updated 09/01/2000 (finally!)

Back in September, we did a weekend trip to the Northwestern part of France. It was a lot of fun practicing my fractured French on the locals and driving on the wrong side of the road (in our right hand drive car!).

I found that at times people were really rude to us if they thought we were English. That's why we have an "Australia" sticker on the back of our car - to reduce road rage in people who see our (compulsory) "GB" sticker and our english number plates!

James had his first birthday in November. When I get the photos back I will post them (assuming I get around to it!)

We are seeing a lot more now of Kay's brother Peter and his family, now that they are living not far from here in Woking. We spent Christmas day and New Year's eve with them and had a great time.

We had high hopes for a white Christmas this year, with snow falling on the evening of the 18th of December, and again on the 21st of September. Unfortunately on the 22nd of December, the rain came and washed it all away. Never mind, we went out and had fun in it on Sunday the 19th. Once again the whole town looked like a Victorian Christmas card.
