make lots more close friends we also have messy activities.

Later in the afternoon, when we can take opportunity to play in the garden either on the bikes, etc., weather permitting, or watch children’s TV., or find something of their choice to play with.

TUESDAYS there is a visit to the Library for story time, at the City Centre. The children enjoy story time very much we also choose books to bring home.

In the afternoon we have “quiet time” after lunch, with books
Some times watch a video or dvd, mark making or dressing up, the very young ones may have a nap.

Before dinner there is the opportunity to play in the garden, read books or watch children’s T.V.; after dinner there maybe a trip to the local park.

WEDNESDAYS we go to Toddler group in the morning – another opportunity to socialise through play with other children in the local community.

In the afternoon, after lunch, the young ones have a nap. We may get out the Brio Train Set and also have Arts and Crafts. We spend some time at the local park, weather permitting, where we can let off a bit of steam and have some fun before dinner.

After dinner its garden play, books or watch children’s TV or a video. Mark making or playdough is also available.

THURSDAY mornings we go swimming again at the Virgin Active Health Club at the Snowdome. This is an opportunity to ensure that the children are taught to be safe and confident in and around water and also have some fun. If I are able to teach them to swim before they start full time school that would be a bonus.

After lunch, it’s singing, dancing and musical activities or messy activities. The younger children have a nap.

Once a month we join with other Registered Childminders at Activity Land , where everybody has a very physical day. We take a picnic as we are sometimes there from about 10 am until 2.30pm.

Prior to dinner there is “imaginative play”, garden, TV or books.
After dinner we carry on where we left off plus choice of colouring, drawing or board games, if time permits.

FRIDAY we go off to the local hall for Toddler Group in the morning. The children help get out the toys and have a fun with their “pals” we then go home for lunch..

Friday afternoon’s we stay at home, we may cook or play with what ever we fancy at the time maybe do messy activities.
Some times on a Friday we may go for a walk to feed the ducks, when the weather is bright.

Before dinner, we have garden play, TV or books on the agenda.
After dinner we have Arts and Crafts or board games until it is time for home.

We take the opportunity to attend any organised children’s events that are advertised in the locality.

We arrange all our activities in such a way that everybody can join in.

The above programme is just a guide to what we do during the week but in all our activities and use of toys we endeavour to cover the Early Years Foundation Stage.
