Character Portrait

"Cluracan of Faerie, Ambassador-in-Extraordinary to her Majesty, the Queen of the Seelie Court". The Cluracan is a rake, a fop, an oft-time drunk and an all-round, in the opinion of a great many, waste of space. He acts as an emissary from the Queen of the Sidhe to other members of the Seelie Courts and even, at times, to the Unseelie and to Queen Elaine in Avalon.

Like most Sidhe, the Cluracan is fascinated with the lives of men and, in particular, with heroic adventurers. He will often wander Theah looking for amusement from such swashbuckling individuals. If he doesn't find any - well, it doesn't require much Glamour to thrust some unsuspecting bystander into danger and watch them try to survive.

It almost seems unkind to label the Cluracan as a villain. He is neither truely evil nor monstrous. He is simply looking to enjoy life and to create some excitement along the way. But the Sidhe never really understand the lives of men and their whimsy often leads to great cruelty and pain. Ultimately, the Cluracan is a Sidhe Lord and the people of Theah are merely playthings to him.
