Gallery of stills and movies created using PAIS

The very first one I did ...

I threw a demo animation together in an evening so you could see for yourself that it works and looks good.  Please excuse my bogus lighting, textures and camera work - this demo is meant to show that the Poser import works, not that I'm a great animator ;-) Note; the way he twists his head around at the end is my fault - I wasn't checking to make sure I set him up right in Poser.  This is not a bug in PAIS.  Actually it's kind of funny in a macabre sort of way ;-)

The animation is a 2.1Mb Quicktime/Sorenson movie ... if you can't be bothered downloading it, just enjoy these stills .. or click on any of the stills to see the movie.

The talking heads

This second animation shows not only how facial animation is faithfully imported, but also that you don't have to import entire bodies - in this case, only the heads were imported!.  Click on the picture to see the animation (1056k Quicktime/sorenson).  This movie took less than an hour to create in Poser and move to Cinema 4D, including texturing and lighting!  (Rendering took another hour, but it would have no matter how I created the animation, so it's not really relevant here).  Again, I did not spend a lot of time making the facial expressions match the dialog or anything - I just used Lipsinc Mimic to create the animation - this is just to show that it works.

The Haunted House

The haunted house itself is from the tutorial by Maxon.  The boy, skeleton and dog are all standard Poser 4 models.  If you're wondering why the boy moves so strangely, I wanted him to appear to be a zombie/mutant stitched together from odd parts ... I don't think it worked, oh well.

This animation (1Mb Quicktime/sorenson) really starts to show why PAIS is so useful - the volumetric lights really add something to this scene, and as the characters move in front of them they break the light beams - something you could never do, or fake, with Poser.
