The Order of On Call Clergy
The Order of On Call Clergy of the United Kingdom is a part of the Christian church. The Order is not aligned to any one denomination or
movement, and welcomes men and women who are already working in a
non-denominational form of Christian ministry, who believe in God as Father,
Son and Holy Spirit and accept the Holy Bible to be the word of God. The aims and objectives of the Order are: 1. to sow the seed, which is the word of God, in churches, clubs, mission halls, chateaux, hotels, homes, castles, mountains and by rivers. 2. to meet folk at local and national shows and exhibitions, always gaining permission, showing respect to all, preaching and teaching the good news of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Vision: The order was founded in October 1999 and its vision is to
have clergy on call in all parts of the UK, to attend to any situation,
emergency or otherwise. The clergy members are all ordained, i.e. ministers,
deacons, priests and bishops. Each person is free to minister in their own
way, under the grace of the all loving God. Our Doctrinal Statement: We believe in the divine inspiration of the Holy Bible. We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, that He was eternally one with the Father. That He became incarnate by the Holy Spirit and was born of the Virgin Mary. The perfect man, who came into the world, as Saviour, to offer eternal life to all who believe in Him. We believe that He died upon the cross, gave up His spirit to His Father God. That His body was buried, and three days later, He rose from the dead and appeared to many people. We further believe that He ascended into heaven and is engaged in making intercession for us. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ will come again, that believers are caught up with the saints to be forever with the Lord. We believe in the immortality of the soul and the final summons of God. “The eyes of the Lord are on those who fear Him, on those
whose hope is in His unfailing love”. Ps 33 v18. |
