Prayer and Sacraments

Here is an outline you may wish to use:

Please pray for the Christian church and its work throughout the world.

We ask your blessing Lord, for Christian teaching, preaching and pastoral care, for the help offered to others via Christian Aid, Oxfam, Tear Fund and others.

Please pray for our beautiful diverse world, the seasons, climate, animals, birds and flowers, for continuity. Thank you Lord.

We pray for those who mar your wonderful world, forgive them Lord. (Please use a daily newspaper as a prayer guide).

Dear Lord we pray for the nations and governments, their leaders and agencies, heads of state, and prime ministers. We pray especially for those countries suffering strife, disasters, famines, floods or epidemics.

We ask Lord, for guidance in our business, that we may be better managers of the economy, good stewards of the national purse.

Lord guide us.

Dear Jesus, we pray for our families and friends, neighbours and workmates. We pray for our schools, hospitals, the caring agencies and emergency services, give us understanding of the gift they are in our lives.

We pray for all those in discomfort or distress (the hungry, homeless or unemployed), those who have special needs, physical, mental or spiritual.

We ask Lord that you hold them in the palm of your hand, giving strength and courage to the sick and terminally ill, at their point of need.

We bring before you Lord those family and friends recently bereaved.   Hold those who have died, as they join the company of Saints, in your eternal loving arms.

Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Sacraments

The Church of the Rock

Holy Communion services are taken at my home church, weekly. I also attend residential homes, when requested.
