One more coalition

The Koirala government came into power with slogan of no more power equation and national consensus. Barely couple of months after, Mr Koirala and his party has to opted for the coalition partners to save the government. For this political blunder not only Nepali Congress and Mr Koirala but, all the political parties are responsible. They are responsible because all of them could not sacrifice their interest of sticking into power. Their election manifesto says one thing and applies the others.

The general election of present parliament is due some time in November next year. It is barely 16 months away. But the present leadership of political parties and their MPs do not have that patience to wait. They either wants share of power or immediate election so that they may use all possible means to get elected. For them national interest is limited for their mass speech only to catch votes from poor and sincere Nepalese voters. The negotiators of so called nationalist parties are actively engaged to bring one and another faction of opponents within their side to save and form another government in the name of coalition.

There is no doubt, the leaders and activists of national political parties had sacrificed every thing during black days of autocratic panchayat days. The autocratic power around the world has no limitation of torturing freedom fighters. Our leaders also passed through those sufferings for the freedom of Nepal and Nepalese people. The reinstatement of Democracy in Nepal is definitely due to their sacrifice.

It is a transit period for the nation to enhance the democracy and national development. The political and economical discipline among the leaders are more required at this moment in the nation than before. The leaders should have sacrificed little more for few more years in the interest of the nation. But alas, they opt for own interest and family interest and are responsible for ruining national economy and political unrest.

The parties in power misutilize the national authority by appointing their activists in most sensitive national and international fields without looking their capability and experience but giving the preference of their personal dedication to leaders in individual.

The leaders should know that they are not the masters of the nation. They have right to build nation but not to ruin. If present tendencies of party leaders are continued the present political trauma may be exploded and may take any shape, never ever desired by the nation.
