St. Thomas's

Whether you are a holidaymaker or a resident of Salisbury who would like to know more about our historic city and Cathedral, the surrounding countryside and glorious local gardens, our guides will be pleased to welcome you.

The Salisbury City Walk lasts approximately one and a half hours and starts at the Tourist Information Centre in Fish Row. We explain the origins of our remarkable City, and walk via St. Thomas’s Church to the Cathedral Close.

The walk takes place every Saturday and Sunday at 11.00 am during November, December, January, February and March. The daily walks will start again in April 2005.

Cathedral Spire Bespoke tours include Chequers Walks, John Constable Walk, In the Footsteps of Pitt, Inns and Ale Houses, Clocks, Close Walks, Wilton Town Walks and many others, including City and Ghost Walks, can be arranged for groups at times to suit. We will also organise tours to suit the particular needs of special interest groups.

Many of our guides also give talks on specialist subjects to clubs, societies and other special interest groups.
