The Norwegian replica Viking merchant ship Saga Siglar captained by Ragnar Thorseth, sailing through the Forties Field in 1984 at the start of her voyage round the world. Sadly it sank along with another replica Viking ship, in a storm off Barcelona in 1991. There was no loss of life.
